Born in suburban Utah, Peter was always an ultra-curious person who sought to be a "problem-solver." Soon, falling in love with the art of journalism and "questioning everything." His interest is in data-driven, investigative journalism while also carrying a keen eye for finding stories to showcase underrepresented communities.
Become life took him into Sin City Peter worked at the KSL Broadcast House, learning the art of the trade with veteran journalists at Salt Lake City's legacy television and radio station. Within months, he landed the role of fill-in digital content producer at KSL NewsRadio, and it wasn't much longer before the position landed him his next opportunity.
In January 2019, he took a role as Associate Producer and fill-in producer for the 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. newscasts at ABC 4 Utah, diverging from digital to broadcast, using in part his experience as a production assistant. Just one week after joining, he produced his first newscast with zero previous experience.
Just a few short months later, at KSNV News 3, the NBC affiliate and Sinclair-owned station in Las Vegas, Peter worked as a nightside Assignment Desk Editor. There he aggressively covered the impending teacher strike of the nation's fifth-largest school district, the pandemic-induced closure of the entertainment capital of the world, and helped secure exclusive interviews with presidential contenders ahead of Nevada's caucus. He also attended the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show. As needed, he produced digital content for market's fastest-growing local news site, News3LV.com, and managed the station's court calendar.
Currently, life has taken him to the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, where he writes and assist in digital operations including social media and content gathering.
